This bulletin has one important thing to talk about: our upcoming fundraising brainstorming and Idea pitches:
When: This Friday - January 16th and next Friday January 23rd
Where: Curl Moncton, 80 Lockhart Ave
Desired Outcomes: generate ideas/plans for future fundraisers and fairly evaluate the ideas so we create new fundraisers that have strong impacts, ae feasible, and align with Rotary values
We need as many members as possible to make this a success, so please attend these sessions if possible!
Here’s what to expect:
Part 1: Small-Group Brainstorming
On the 16th, members will be divided into small groups of 3–5. Each group will be asked to brainstorm and agree on one idea (project, initiative, or improvement), work together to develop a clear and concise pitch, considering the what, why, and how of the idea.
The focus is on creativity and teamwork.
Darren Hansen has agreed to help facilitate the session and we will also provide an guide/rubric on how ideas will be evaluated so that this can be considered.
Part 2: Idea Pitches, Q&A, & Scoring
On the 23rd, each group will have 5 minutes to present their idea to the club.
After all presentations, there will be a question-and-answer session, where members may ask questions about any idea or pitch.
Members will then score each idea using a shared scoring rubric.
