Since this is a long weekend, there will not be a meeting this Friday. We hope you have a great Canada Day weekend!
Thank you to everyone that came out and helped at the Drive Through Rib Fest. Whilst not our normal fundraiser, the event was a success and we collected just over $15,000 in donations which was really good. We will get the final tally over the next week but expect to have raised around $18,000.
Once again thank you and please make a note in your calendar for our normal full Rib fest next year at Riverfront Park from June 23rd to 26th.
The End Polio Now Tulip program was instigated by Pam Harrison and Districts 7810 and 7820 are continuing the program. Colin Reeves is coordinating the sales of Tulip Boxes within the Club. Orders must be placed by 31 July 2021. The cost is $25 per box of 25 Tulips and you will be invoiced with your monthly bill in August. If you have any questions, please contact Colin or Lisa Gallagher who is one of the District Coordinators for this fundraiser.
Our meeting next Friday (July 9) will be an opportunity to celebrate the end of my term as Club President and to welcome our new President, Darrell Nameth. It has certainly been a challenging year but as a club, but we have had many successes to celebrate because of the dedication and commitment of our members and friends. I want to thank you for all that you do and putting “Service Above Self”.
