Hello fellow Rotarians:
This Friday we will be meeting at Legends and our speaker will be Ken McGeorge, who will be speaking about Hub City Foodies. Social distancing and public health protocols must be followed. Those that are uncomfortable meeting in person can join using Zoom at the following link:
Please volunteer to help Erin Hansen and her crew to clean up this Saturday morning, weather permitting. Last weekend’s clean up was a huge success and we’re hoping for an encore! Please reach out to Erin Hansen at deoe.hansen@gmail.com if you wish to volunteer. We will be meeting at the Canadian Tire parking lot on Mountain Road at 8:30am. Gloves and plastic bags will be provided. Please wear appropriate footwear. Hope to see you there!
Last Saturday, the group started at 8:30 at the Trinity area. Here is a photo showing most of the helpers and the loot after a little over 2 hours of work. Congratulations and a big THANK YOU to all who came out.
RotarayMWR Ticket Draw, spring 2021
The Rotary MWR Ticket Draw Committee with Juergen, Andrew, Ian, Mel & Michael worked hard this year to get our annual Ticket Draw finally on the road.
Mark Friday, June 4 in your calendar. A lot of thinking went into the project, about the time in the year, about Covid etc. etc. We want to embrace this project and use it as an opportunity to do something together again.
- Rotary MWR needs some "we-power"!
- The community organisations need our support.
- We are confident that with everyone's help we will accomplish great goals.
Over $44,000 in prizes including a $5,000 cash prize. Tickets will be available this Friday.
Our Rotary Atlantic Conference - Rotary Reimagined & “A Round with Rotary” is scheduled for May 14th & 15th on Zoom. Terry MacDonald sent an email with the information and links to join. You can attend either event or both. How about joining your fellow Rotarians and non-Rotarians for a chance to reimagine service above self through Rotary’s Reimagined conference May15 ,2021. Hear speakers on a wide range of topics from peace to mental health techniques and for the future of Rotary in 2041! We have often heard that Rotarians want to have social time with other Rotarians and Friends. They have added a special evening the night before the conference on May 14th called “A Round with Rotary”. This will be an interesting event so let’s all plan to attend.
Please keep safe and I hope to see you soon.
