Extra! Extra! Read all about it! August 11th Meeting is at NBCC Mountain Road and not at the Avenir Centre

Greetings, Rotarians. For your information:

1. Tomorrow's meeting will take place at NBCC (1234 Mountain Road - Room A2020). The door is labelled "A1". Parking in the front may be limited; parking is also available on the side of, or behind, the building. Bring a friend!

2. Last week we were hosted by, and heard from, YWCA. We learned of an ongoing project at the Beechwood Community Centre. The aim is to fill a gap in the breakfast and lunch programs for children which pause during the summer. Please connect with Jon Wishart if you can lend a hand. 100% club participation in service projects like this one is very do-able - so let's do it.

3. Speaking of helping out - have you signed up to help with the 26th Annual Rotary Charity Classic? If you're not playing, please consider volunteering for the event. August 31st.

4. Looking ahead: during the week of September 11-17, Rotary International is encouraging Rotary clubs to partner with local Kiwanis, Lions, and Optimist clubs on a service project that will have a long-term impact in the community. This is one month away - can you think of a service project we could work on with another local service club? Please consider it.
