This Friday we will be meeting at Legends and our speaker will be Geoff Bell, who will be speaking about “What’s next through the door”. Social distancing and public health protocols must be followed. Unfortunately, we will not be having the meeting via zoom as our tech people are unavailable.
RotarayMWR Ticket Draw, spring 2021: The Rotary MWR Ticket Draw Committee with Juergen, Andrew, Ian, Mel & Michael worked hard this year to get our annual Ticket Draw finally on the road. Mark Friday, June 4 in your calendar. A lot of thinking went into the project, about the time in the year, about Covid etc. etc. We want to embrace this project and use it as an opportunity to do something together again.
- Rotary MWR needs some "we-power"!
- The community organisations need our support.
- We are confident that with everyone's help we will accomplish great goals.
Over $44,000 in prizes including a $5,000 cash prize. Tickets will be available this Friday.
Our Rotary Atlantic Conference - Rotary Reimagined & “A Round with Rotary” is scheduled for May 14th & 15th on Zoom. Terry MacDonald sent an email with the information and links to join. You can attend either event or both. How about joining your fellow Rotarians and non-Rotarians for a chance to reimagine service above self through Rotary’s Reimagined conference May15 ,2021. Hear speakers on a wide range of topics from peace to mental health techniques and for the future of Rotary in 2041! We have often heard that Rotarians want to have social time with other Rotarians and Friends. They have added a special evening the night before the conference on May 14th called “A Round with Rotary”. This will be an interesting event so let’s all plan to attend.
The District 7810 Indigenous Relations team invites Rotarians to attend a Zoom session with Elder Noel Milliea on June 21st from 630-830pm, in celebration of National Indigenous Peoples Day and National Indigenous History Month. More details will be available soon on the District 7810 Facebook page.
As you may all recall, the End Polio Now Tulip program was instigated by Pam Harrison and it is entirely fitting that, in her memory, Districts 7810 and 7820 are continuing the program and the goal this year is to exceed last years sales and the funds raised for the End Polio Now fund.
As before, Colin Reeves is coordinating the sales of Tulip Boxes within the Club. Orders must be placed by 31 July 2021 and, as before, the cost is $25 per box of 25 Tulips and you will be invoiced with your monthly bill in August. If you have any questions, please contact Colin or Lisa Gallagher who is one of the District Coordinators for this fundraiser.
The Rotary licence plates that were ordered for your vehicles have arrived. I will bring them to the next couple of meetings and distribute to those that attend. If you ordered them, please contact me to make arrangements to pick them up. The cost will be added to your invoice, so you don’t need to bring payment.
