I've made a short work week even shorter by taking vacation for the rest of the week. President-Elect, Sherry Mourant will take over my “Presidential Duties” at this week's meeting.
Keeping with the short theme, I'll make this week's bulleting short and sweet :)
Here are a few important reminders:
This Friday's meeting will be held in Legends (next week we hope to start back to meeting Room D on a more regular basis)
The meeting on October 24th is considered a Special Meeting to discuss the future of our longstanding fundraiser - Rotary Ribfest.
Our Club's Annual General Meeting is planned for November 7th. Please make every effort to attend. Official notification will be sent out next week,
Save the date - our Holiday Party is planned for the evening of Friday,December 5th (no lunch meeting).
As Karla McLean and Sue Murray have both communicated via email and as updates at our meetings,, we are progressing towards being able to start making lunches again for those children in need at Edith Cavell School, with some adaptations from previous years. Many thanks to both Karla and Suefor their leadership and for looking to find ways to ensure this important service activity is feasible, both financially and from a volunteer point-of-view. I found the discussion at the end of our meeting last week valuable and I know many of us want to see our Club continue to help. If you are able, please consider a one-time or monthly contribution to the Charity, designated for Edith Cavell. You can set this up clicking on this link: Donate Now | Rotary Club of Moncton West & Riverview
(click the box “yes, I want my dedicate my donation” and then enter in honor of Edith Cavell). Lastly, if you want to start volunteering for this program, please connect with Karla and/or Sue.
Well, this turned out longer than I anticipated after all! Have a great rest of the week!
