The largest engineering project completed in New Brunswick and one of most challenging marine engineering projects completed in Canada is the Confederation Bridge. This bridge was constructed from 1993-1997 at a cost $1.3 billion CAD and is 12.9 km (8 miles) long. Rotarian of the Week
Marc Lapointe
Profession - Fundraising Consultant and Vice-President Atlantic for BNP Inspire
About me - I've worked my whole career in both languages in professions that ranged from Technical Services in the Auto industry to Marketing to Fundraising for the past 14 years. I've had the opportunity to travel to multiple countries and work in many cultures. There are great people everywhere.
Years in Rotary? -18 years as of this January
My Hobbies - Cycling, cross-country and downhill skiing, playing with my grand-kids
What is your favorite thing about being a Rotarian? The people and the sense of purpose, that we can achieve so much more as a group than we ever would as individuals.
Tell us something others might not know about you? Every Christmas I prepare a half-dozen pâtés à viande (which most people call tourtière) and a 10lb Tourtière du Lac St-Jean because my father's roots were there.
