Hello Fellow Rotarians,

I hope you are having a great week so far!

First, while we expected to be back in Meeting Room D this week, we will have this week's meeting at Legends again.

As previously communicated, this week's meeting is an important one for our club, as we will be discussing of our longstanding fundraiser - Ribfest.  We are considering this a special meeting and should a decision need to be put to the membership for a vote, we require 50% +1 of members to be present.  Please try to attend, not just in case we need to vote, but also to provide your valuable insight and feedback.

Last week, Rotarians Richard Jardine, Sue Murray, Anissa Mustafa Aquinaga, and her daughter Alaina Palma, prepared a meal at the Moncton Hospital's Ronald McDonald Family Room for families with loved ones staying at the hospital. It was an experience filled with gratitude and compassion.
These special moments remind us how important and meaningful it is to give our time to those who need comfort and care.
A heartfelt thank-you to Nadine McNeelands, the Family Room Coordinator - who recently was a guest speaker at a Club meeting, for welcoming us and allowing us to give back to our community in such a beautiful way. As well, special thanks to Anissa, our Club's Chair for Community Service, for organizing this meal.

World Polio Day is a time for Rotary members, public health advocates, and all who want a world free from polio to come together, recognize our progress in the fight to end polio, and talk about the actions we need to take in order to end polio for good. For more information, check out: World Polio Day | End Polio

There are two upcoming area Rotary Club events to be aware of and consider participating in:

  1. Moncton Rotary Club is having a Pints for Polio event at the Tire Shack on October 24th. An opportunity to not only enjoy some great local drinks and company, but to make a lasting difference in the fight against polio. For over 30 years, Rotary has been at the forefront of global efforts to eradicate this devastating disease, and thanks to events like this one, we’re closer than ever to a polio-free world. Every dollar raised will help fund crucial vaccinations and outreach, through Rotary International. Tire Shack will donate a portion of every drink purchased to the cause.
💵: Price is $25 which includes finger foods.
📍:Tire Shack Brewing Event Centre, 190 John Street, Moncton NB
