Greetings, Rotarians. No news is good news?
1. The District AGM is scheduled for Tuesday, October 17, at 6:30 pm ADT. All pertinent documents are available on the D7815 website under Member Resources, District Documents. Look for District 7815 2022-23 Annual General Meeting Documents. Here is the Zoom Link:
2. Rotary Leadership Institute ("RLI") classes are being offered in Kentville, Nova Scotia on October 21, 2023. Levels 1, 2, and 3 are being offered. This program was founded to assist in improving Rotary knowledge and leadership skills of the future leaders of Rotary clubs. It's a great way to learn more about Rotary and also network with like-minded rotarians from around the district.
3. For your information, the Rotary International Board of Directors has approved a Rotary magazine subscription fee increase from $1 USD to $1.50 USD. The first increase in 22 years.
4. Looking ahead: December 15, 2023 (not December 8th as previously indicated) is marked as the date for the club's Annual General Meeting. The bylaws provide that at a regular meeting one month prior to the meeting for election of officers, the presiding officer shall ask for nominations by members of the club for secretary; it is now time to start thinking about filling this important role.
5. Looking ahead: District Conference is in St. Pierre & Miquelon and scheduled for June 14-16, 2024. Flights are on June 12, 14, and 16. There is an option for virtual attendance. Should you wish to attend in person, there is a maximum of 255 beds available. The registration fee has not been confirmed.
See you tomorrow in our regular meeting room at Legends!
