Greeting Fellow Rotarians:
"Awesome News"
Today the Rotary Club of Moncton West and Riverview received the 2023-2024 Rotary Citation Award and a congratulations letter from Gordon R. McInally, 2023-24 Rotary International President. This award is the most significant award a Rotary Club can achieve. Gordon recommended we display this award proudly to celebrate the Club's achievement.
Specials thank you to Nicholas O'Toole, 2023-2024 President for his excellent leadership during the past year, setting the Club goals and for the members commitment to achieve the Club's goals. Gordon commended our Club on its goal commitment, which ultimately helps strengthen Rotary and shape our future.
"Milestone Celebrations!"
Congratulations to Douglas Baker who is celebrating his 53rd anniversary as Club member and Darrell Nameth who is celebrating 20th anniversary as a Club member. Thank you for your dedication and endless commitment to the Rotary Club of Moncton West and Riverview.

Excellent job everyone delivering the annual Rotary Club lobster party. Your efforts were certainly appreciated by the members and guests!!
Sandy Mollins loves to organize and does an awesome job planning events including birthday celebrations.
Did you know Sandy Mollins has volunteered her time to organize the Club lobster party the past 10 years. She also does an exceptional job keeping the President up to date during the planning process with her great communication and spreadsheets.
Thank you, Sandy, for your tremendous commitment to our Rotary Club and your many volunteer hours!!
Thank you to Paul Vautour for continuing to educate the members on the Waste Managment Program. He shared with me there is still some training required!
Congratulations Eric Mourant and Marc LaPointe for successfully adhering to the President’s safety training and protective safety gear for lobster cutters.
Thank you to everyone who assisted with the cleanup at the end of the party.
I received many positive comments on the lobster party which I have shared with the Social Committee.
Happy Birthday to all the Rotarians and their partners that are celebrating August birthdays. Surprise birthday celebration was held at the lobster party and hope you enjoyed the cake! Check out the bottom of the bulletin for the members and partner celebrating birthdays and anniversaries in August.
"Special Thank you"
To Lisa Gallager and her husband Reid for hosting the Lobster Party three (3) consecutive summers and scheduling the awesome weather this year.
To David Maynard for transporting the Club supplies and equipment from Five Bridges Bar and Grill Restaurant to Legend's Restaurant.
"Important Youth Exchange Request":
Host family required for incoming exchange students who lives within the Harrison Trimble High School catchment area, which is the Moncton Centre and North area. Reach out to friends you know to confirm their interest in being a host family. This is an incredible experience for the host family and wonderful opportunity for the exchange students to learn and enhance their personal growth.
Please reach out to Jesse Kerpan <yeo@rotarymwr.ca> if you are able to welcome an exchange student into life.
