Greetings, Rotarians. It's Beginning To Feel A Lot Like ... Foundation Month.
1. November is Foundation Month. And November 28, 2023 is "Giving Tuesday". This global day of generosity is an opportunity for all members to make a big impact, with a gift of any size that supports projects you're passionate about. Here are a few links for your consideration:

2. Coming soon to Legends: Rotary MWR's annual holiday party. December 1, 2023. Cocktail hour at 5:30 p.m. and a sit down dinner around 6:30 p.m. Greg Turner will host the Yankee Swap. Guests are welcomed but will be subject to a charge of $35.00. If a guest would like to participate in the Yankee swap, they should also come with a gift to make sure we have the right numbers for the exchange.
3. District Governor Roger Sevigny has circulated a "DG Word" containing a lot of useful information about our rotary district and rotary generally. You are encouraged to read it. Here is the November DG Word:

4. The New Brunswick Department of Tourism, Heritage and Culture is holding a Risk Management Training Program on November 27, 2023 from 2pm to 4pm. It would be great if a few of our members could take advantage of this free training. It will undoubtedly provide useful information for our club and in particular with respect to our fundraisers. Attendees are asked to sign up by November 17th. Here is a link containing more information:

5. Looking ahead, please mark these dates in your calendars:
- December 15, 2023: club's Annual General Meeting. The bylaws provide that at a regular meeting one month prior to the meeting for election of officers, the presiding officer shall ask for nominations by members of the club for secretary; it is now time to start thinking about filling this important role. The Charity's Board AGM will also take place on this date.
- December 29, 2023: NO CLUB MEETING.
- January 5, 2023: New Year's Levee at Brix.
- February 9, 2023: Charter Night at Spruce & Iron (Moncton Golf Club). Note: this is amended compared to previous bulletins. Apologies for any inconvenience created by this change in date and thank you for your understanding.
- May 25-29: Rotary International Convention in Singapore.
- June 14-16: District Conference is in St. Pierre & Miquelon. The DG Word found in the above link contains more useful information about this conference. Again, you are urged to read the DG Word.
- June 21-24: Ribfest 2024 at Riverfront Park. This is an all-hands-on deck event for our club and you are asked to reserve some time in your calendars so that you can volunteer.
See you tomorrow in our regular meeting room at Legends!
