Starting this Friday, August 1st, our meetings will be regularly held in MEETING ROOM D.
In case you missed it, the invitation for the Lobster Party (Friday, August 22nd) was sent last week. We are asking all members to register for this social event using the following form: Rotary MWR Lobster Party.
As noted by our committee members and leads for the Rotary Charity Classic (which will take place on Thursday, August 28th) at last week's meeting, we have four priorities right now:
Sponsorships - Sponsorships range from $1200-$2000. If you have some connections in the business community that may be interested in sponsoring, please connect with Jamie Smith/Ian Franklin.
Teams - we still need several more teams. Team registration is $1200 or $300 individually. Perhaps someone in your network would want to put in a team or you may be interested in playing as part of a Rotarian team? If so, please connect with Jamie Smith/Ian Franklin
Auction Items - We are looking for auction items and are also asking members to consider donating a bottle of wine that can be auctioned off in groups (or a wheelbarrow of wine?!?). You can drop auction items off to Mel Kennah at his work location (536 Mountain Road).
Volunteers at event - We need volunteers for a variety of tasks for this important fundraiser. John Patterson is your guy to find out how you can help out!

I'm looking forward to our meeting on Friday where we'll have a little fun as well as have a working session on Community Service for our Club. This will be a session to help explore ideas and help direct our Community Service Committee (which, by the way, is looking for new members…).
