Happy August Fellow Rotarians!
On August 2, 2024, we enjoyed an excellent presentation by Katherine Pham, long term Rotary Youth Exchange Student who enjoyed 10 months living in Germany.
Katherine confirmed this experience Germany, including attending school, staying with wonderful host families, meeting new friends, learning to speak German and playing Kegeln was a life changing experience. Kegeln is German variation of bowling, played on a lane that is 19.5 meters (about 64 feet) long and 1.3 meters (approximately 51 inches wide) and uses 9 pins set in a diamond pattern.
Katherine thanked Rotary for providing her the opportunity to participate in this wonderful Rotary Youth Exchange Program.
Paul Harris Fellow Recognition
Last week I was honored to present Sean Robertson a Paul Harris Fellow+8 Lapel Pin from District 7815. The Paul Harris Fellow recognizes individuals, or who have contributions made in their name of $1,000 to The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International.
The honor named for Paul Harris who founded Rotary at age 36, was created to show appreciation for contributions that support Rotary Annual Fund, PolioPlus or approved Foundation Grant.
Congratulations Sean Robertson on receiving the Paul Harris Fellow Recognition!

He is a proud father and grandfather of two children, Natalie & Jon, and five grandchildren, ages 26 to 7. Three of whom live in North Carolina. His parents, John and Connie, were active in providing service to the Riverview community. His Dad was a volunteer Fireman and his Mom was a supporter of the Riverview Fire Department and Church. Gary attended Riverview Schools, Mount Allison University and Dalhousie University, graduating in law.

Gary commenced his career providing legal services to low-income individuals throughout the New Brunswick who wanted to establish businesses employing other low-income individuals.
