Reminder that we are replacing our regular meeting this week with a service project at the RCMP Memorial at Riverfront Park. Please meet at the memorial at Noon on October 9. Come prepared with work gloves and small garden tools.
This week we had the pleasure of hosting Rotary friends from Netherlands visiting through the Rotary friendship exchange for a quick tour of Shediac, Moncton, Bouctouche and Albert County. Thank you to all Rotarians to participated and helped us welcome them. Special shout outs to Sherry Trenholm, Nadine Larche, John and Nancy Patterson and Eric Mourant. Extra special THANK YOU to Ian Franklin for taking great care of our Dutch damsel in distress!
In addition to her involvement with the Friendship exchange this week, Sherry Trenholm was recognized by Mayor Crossman for her work on the Codiac Regional Policing Facility over the last decade. Congratulations Sherry!🏆
Our Club supported Legs for Literacy last week.
On Friday, October 2, Felipe Botero, Sherry Trenholm and Anissa Mustafa represented our club at the Run for Literacy Expo, where we had a Rotary MWR table and the opportunity to connect with participants and share information about Rotary.
On Sunday, October 4, our volunteers supported the race at the water station for the Marathon and Half Marathon. We were proud to have our Rotary signs visible and to cheer on the runners as they passed through.
Thank you to Sherry Mourant, Aisha Kanyana, Anissa Mustafa, Roberto Palma, Felipe Botero, Luisa Marquez, Ian Franklin, Sherry Trenholm and Marc Lapointe for volunteering, and to Darya Kutova and Mathias for their support.
It was a great opportunity to come together as a club, support a community event, and show our Rotary spirit. Thank you to everyone who helped make our participation possible!
