Welcome to a new Rotary year with a new District Governor, our own Darren Hansen and a ‘retread’ president. Frankly, I am honoured that the board has confidence in me to come back to fill in for Francine.
We also have a new charities board that will be formally installed at Friday’s meeting.
At this Friday’s meeting, we will recognize Chris for serving as president during a very difficult year and I will highlight some specific achievements in the past year.
Thank you to everyone that came out and helped at the Drive Through Rib Fest. It went well with over $15,000 donations received. We will net about $18,000.
The End Polio Now Tulip program was instigated by Pam Harrison and Districts 7810 and 7820 are continuing the program. Colin Reeves is coordinating the sales of Tulip Boxes within the Club. Orders must be by 31 July 2021. The cost is $2per box of 25 Tulips and you will be invoiced with your monthly bill in August. If you have any questions, please contact Colin or Lisa Gallagher who is one of the District Coordinators for this fundraiser.
Next Friday will be our fun golf tournament at Mountain Woods. Please sign up to play or come for dinner.
