**Rotary Club of Moncton West & Riverview Announces Conclusion of Rotary Ribfest After 11 Successful Years**
Moncton, November 3, 2025 - After more than a decade of community celebration, fundraising, and togetherness, the Rotary Club of Moncton West & Riverview has announced that it will not continue hosting Rotary Ribfest in future years. The decision follows careful consideration of the event’s long-term sustainability, noting a decline in return on investment and an increasing demand on volunteer time.
The City of Moncton and the Ribbers are developing plans to carry forward a reimagined version of Ribfest on the same weekend. More details will be provided in the coming months.
“Rotary Ribfest has been a cornerstone event for our Club and community,” said Catherine Black, President of the Rotary Club of Moncton West & Riverview. “We are immensely proud of what the event achieved — raising funds that directly benefited local projects and charities, and creating an experience that brought people together year after year.”
Since its launch 11 years ago, Ribfest has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for community initiatives, supported by the generosity of sponsors, ribbers, volunteers, and the City of Moncton. The Rotary Club of Moncton West & Riverview expresses its deepest gratitude to all who contributed to the event’s success.
While Rotary Ribfest will not continue, the Club emphasized its ongoing dedication to serving the community. Plans are underway to explore new opportunities for fundraising and community engagement in 2026.
