Jill Miller
The Canadian Masters National Weightlifting Championship

Jill Miller Has been associated with the sport of Olympic style weightlifting for 50 years and competing as a Master Athlete for 30 years.  She along with her husband Ken have served as Competition Directors of the World Masters Weightlifting Championships, the Pan American Masters Weightlifting Championships, the Canadian Championships for elite athletes and over 30 years of annual provincial championship in Ontario, including many world championship qualifier events.  Jill moved to New Brunswick with her husband in September 2020, taking up residence in Shediac.  The move to this area was in part motivated by the growing strength of Weightlifting in the province and the desire to help move this even further forward.  Jill is an international technical official for Weightlifting and has served in this role, north and south America, Asia and Europe.  She is on her way to serve at the Commonwealth Games in August this year and her husband is currently in Mexico as an official at the Youth World Championship. Jill trains and certifies Weightlifting Coaches in the National Coaching Certification program.

 

Jill and Ken are no strangers to Rotary as Ken is the holder of the Paul Harris award and Jill & Ken were very involved with the Youth Exchange program for over 10 years hosting young people from, Denmark, Argentina, Taiwan, Brazil and the Philippines.
